Senior Citizens Christmas Party 2017

This year’s Christmas party was a great success, old acquaintances were renewed and new ones made. “Should old acquaintance be forgot…” as Robbie Burns sang in his lovely ballad. The food was lovely and the music lively and we had some stylish dancers. There were old time waltzes and quicksteps all keeping time to the music. There were great singers and musicians. Prizes galore were handed out in the free raffle. Santa Claus and his elves attended. Two of the elves entertained the party goers with a lovely exhibition dance. We are looking forward to seeing them next year D.V.

There were loads of helpers and the G.A.A pavilion was warm and hospitable. It was nice to see old friends, reminisce and remember in a prayer, those who have left us for higher regions in the Heavens.

Thanks to all who attended. Thanks to all our sponsors, to Robert and his family and his staff, to Carbury G.AA, to Bobby Bolger and to the Committee. Thanks also to Matt Cummins for doing the table quiz, those who helped out with the quiz and to everybody who helped out with the party. Happy Christmas everyone. May the child Jesus enlighten your path.
