In Remembrance: Marie Tyrell Edenderry, who died recently, was for many years organist in Derrinturn church.  Marie was well known nationally for her work with Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann. She also had her own band and travelled the length and breadth of the country entertaining patrons in many dance venues. Marie has all the stories of old Edenderry and Bord na Móna and had many tales of days gone by. To coin a phrase she had ‘stories to beat the band’. She will be missed by her family and by many in Edenderry and Carbury and further afield. Ar dheis go raibh a h-anam
